A QUIET REVELATION
JANUARY 2019
“We take the opportunity to suggest that 2019 has something to say to humanity. From Day One: lst January 2019. It is as though a new leaf is now turning, and in the rest of the book is an unfolding story of something akin to Revelation.
Revelation is something to be hopeful for; to open up to; to trust in. So that a feeling of light sun can touch the heart. Revelation brings such calm recognition, so this revelation has to touch some spot of recognition within the hearts and minds of humanity as we speak.
So much hatred has been unleashed in the world over the last several years. And the hatred comes from such a deep-seated fear of ‘difference’. So that it becomes a cauldron of fear that turns to a real fire of hatred. Fear is a real killer isn’t it?
Fear may feel the opposite to being a killer; more like a withdrawal; a terror to raise your head above the parapet. But in fact, at its deepest human level, fear can turn to a tumult of rage and anger, which pounds into the airwaves and causes even more fear.
We suggest the way to end this cycle of fear and rage is to enjoy a moment of revelation, and allow that revelation to bring you out of fear, and to settle down the heart. Feel the sense of Wonder, and Peace, and Joy in the idea of revelation.
So many people in the new generations are coming up to the mark; they are turning the tables on division, hatred, separation and destruction. They want the environment of their young years to be safe, yes. And why shouldn’t they want to feel safe? Because safety allows fear, and thus anger, to dissipate.
There may be a little over-emphasis on being safe, by demanding ‘safe spaces’, and not to be exposed to difficulties, or controversies, or destructive ideas. But in fact they are manifesting a real movement towards the idea – the revelation – of being safe in the world without fear and therefore without destructive anger.
On many levels, despite their wish to be safe and in control of their own environments, these young generations, in their own way and in their own time, recognise that changes are happening. They are so much more aware that they wish to be inclusive; they wish to enjoy the company of others, they believe in multi-culturalism and the idea of mutuality, like the original intention of the European Union. They are becoming more and more open, and verbal, speaking their minds – but without stepping out of their safety.
In the old days it took courage and risk to make things happen; make things change. Yet this is now changing, to a quiet revolution; spoken safely, without the risk and need for excessive courage. It is a gentler moment in time, despite how the world appears on the outside.
May we suggest that you can gentle down now; gentle down. Do not feel the need to fight; to risk; to show courage in the way it used to be, when armies fought; when young people fought; when ideals fought, and risked. There is a moment now to gentle down, and in that gentling down to feel safer, to speak and join and recognise.
Make a wish this New Year. Make a wish to gentle down and be yourself and stay safe in who you are. Speak who you are and let the world turn in a new way.”
