SHADOWPLAY

This month’s channelling is an unashamed ‘plug’ for my novel Shadowplay – available now in paperback, which many people still prefer, as well as an e-book. It was written a long time ago; a metaphorical novel, which mirrored in completely fictional form my own experience of the feminine descent; the descent into matter.
After my first book The Wise Virgin, which speaks of the higher self and our Divine nature, Shadowplay, to the best of my ability, holds the symbolism and energy of a long phase – ten years – of the journey; facing head-on the darkest aspect of matter, living through the deepest shadow aspects of the human psyche: in my view an essential part of the journey towards the spiritualisation of matter and the evolution of consciousness.
It seems to us today that the darkest nature of humanity is coming to the surface, witnessed in the atrocities that are happening all over the world right now. But we have to remember that many, many of us in incarnation today have worked hard and long on the shadows at play within us, and within the collective as a whole.
So perhaps, despite the long haul of writing a book with meaning, you could just read it like any other novel!
GUIDELINES
“May we suggest that Annie’s metaphorical novel Shadowplay is a touchstone for what is happening in the here and now.
In order to explain, we ask you to imagine and feel a dark shadow descending over your heart. Because this is where the shadow is landing right now – right at the heart of what it is to be human. Just for a moment, touch the heart of darkness: the heart of darkness that has become a threat to mankind. When you touch the heart of darkness, just for this moment feel it like a deep, deep pit: a deep, inevitable pit.
Shadowplay, the novel, is a true metaphor for the heart of darkness, which mankind has to experience, in order to determine itself; to know itself in all the phases, recognitions, understandings and possibilities of what it is to be human.
But, this experience, this overshadowing, does – once and for all – herald a moment of change. We can recognise that humanity has reached a point where the full measure of its darkness is being exposed; the darkness that is intrinsic to the idea of matter. Matter is a dark matter, until enlightened by the spiritual nature of mankind.
Scientists are engaged in the search for ‘dark matter’ in the universe. ‘As above, so below.’ Matter is dark; in process of being spiritualised through humanity’s determination. The spirit of man is in process of lightening what intrinsically is dark matter.
If we ask you to experience that matter is dark; intrinsically dark, how does that feel? We don’t ask you to feel into the crescendo of atrocities the world is experiencing now, but simply to sense the fact of matter; that by its nature is dark. Feel how matter is yearning to be spiritualised; feel it’s potential to be enlightened.
Sense that by descending through matter, touching the darkness of mankind through eons of time, humanity – and matter itself – can be redeemed, purified; so that ultimately it can know itself to be Divine.
Many atrocities come in the name of religion, but it does not surprise us that such acts are made in the name of God, and are happening now. God is the Divine inheritance of mankind, and these explosions are a search for the Divine. But, in this darkness begin to feel the lightening of matter. Feel how the shadow is lifting from the heart of darkness, and sense that it gives you a tingling of hope. There is meaning in these dark times; something happening.
We know the spring is coming; the seeds will grow; the leaves will burst forth. It is exciting, and the energy of change so powerful. Feel the awakening of hope within your soul; and that something good can happen; will happen; is happening. It is inevitable. It is determined.
Feel the heart of darkness opening out in an aura of bright, warm, loving kindness. And as you encompass the depths of earth, you feel this bright, warm, kindness radiating down into the earth. There is a feeling of tremendous gratitude and love for the earth. Like no other time before, you are glad you have reached the centre of the earth. You can open up and feel connected, deep down, in loving kindness towards the earth.
Know through your own journeying that you have done a wonderful spring-cleaning of the house; your house. You have cleared everything, promoted a wonderful energy within you that leaves you feeling good about yourself. Feel the achievement. But, more than that, sense that you have prepared yourself for something very special to come. Feel the love you have for your home, the earth; and for all that has gone before. Know the darkness in your life was a necessary precursor to arriving here now. You cannot have one without the other.
It is time for a real moment of change, and to love LIFE, live LIFE now.”
